PROGRAM.//
RMKS/1. The purpose of this advisory is to provide clarification of the
Savings Deposit Program (SDP) emergency withdrawal process in
MyPay for Navy Service Members.
2. Per reference (a), para 510209, withdrawals may be made in an
emergency only when the health or welfare of a member or the member's
dependent(s) would be jeopardized if the withdrawal was not granted.
The member's Commanding Officer must authorize all emergency
withdrawals.
3. Commanders authorization is required for all SDP MyPay Emergency
withdrawal requests. The Commander's authorization must be submitted
to DFAS-CL via AskDFAS ticket; Navy Savings Deposit Program, prior to
member's emergency withdrawal request being processed and funds
released for payment by DFAS.
